Recently acquired produce titan Chiquita Brands International Inc. has tapped two new executives amid the company's first steps toward closing its Charlotte headquarters.
Chiquita disclosed in a regulatory filing Thursday that Darcilo Santos, 46, has been appointed as chief financial officer and Andrew Biles, 62, as chief executive for Chiquita Bananas and Pineapples.
Santos comes to the CFO post from Safra Bank in Brazil. The company is an affiliate of Safra Group, which, along with Cutrale Group of Brazil, took Chiquita private in a deal that closed earlier this month.
