CN Seeds Readies New Varieties For Annual Fruit Logistica Showcase

Ely, Cambridgeshire – CN Seeds, the UK-based seed specialist, has announced the full commercial launch of Bulls Blood Olympia, the innovative new red leaf beet variety, which will be among the products   showcased by the company at Fruit Logistica 2015.

Developed to extend the availability of red beet leaves when included in fresh-cut salad mixes, Bulls Blood Olympia features a striking, dark red leaf that, unlike the standard Bulls Blood variety, keeps its colour throughout the summer months.

Bringing a brightening effect to packed salad mixes, Bulls Blood Olympia combines well with lettuce, wild rocket, spinach and other green leaves.

CN Seeds’ business development manager, Charles Seddon, said: “Bulls Blood previously tended to go a bit green or bronze in the higher summer temperatures, but with Bulls Blood Olympia you get a very striking, dark red leaf that maintains its colour during the warmer period of the year.”

Fruit Logistica 2015

CN Seeds will be featuring Bulls Blood Olympia among other products at this year’s Fruit Logistica 2015 trade fair at its stand in Hall 1.2 B-06 at the Messe Berlin exhibition centre from 4-6 February in Berlin, Germany.

The CN Seeds team will be delighted to speak with visitors to their stand about how Bulls Blood Olympia and other products might meet their requirements.

Seddon added: “We are looking forward to meeting some of our core customers, new and established Babyleaf growers and processors that are using the product in their mixed salads, and to learning about some of the trends we are likely to see during 2015.”
