Do Potatoes Have A Role In The PMA 'Eat Brighter!' Campaign?

The Produce Marketing Association (PMA) ‘eat brighter!’ campaign is designed to increase consumption of fruits and vegetables by children through a tie-in with Sesame Street. PMA arranged for royalty free use of the Sesame Street characters by the fresh produce industry for packaging, in-store signage, advertising and more (see the attached flyer).

While the tag line leaves producers of white fruits and vegetables less than enthusiastic, these products can still be part of the effort. A company in Canada has adopted the program for potatoes with self-reported “huge success.”  If you are interested in learning more, go to the PMA website and view the Webinar: How To Inspire Kids To Eat Brighter, and learn how promotional organizations are now eligible to participate in ‘eat brighter!’
