Dole & Standard Fruit Co. Recognized By Costa Rican-American Chamber Of Commerce For Excellence In Labor Relations

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. — Dole Food Company, Inc. announced that the Costa Rican–American Chamber of Commerce has recognized Standard Fruit Company de Costa Rica S.A., a Dole division in Costa Rica, for Excellence in Labor Relations for the company's contribution to the community through its workforce relations programs.

The award was presented to Raul Martinez, Managing Director of Standard Fruit Company de Costa Rica S.A. recently by Vice President of the Republic of Costa Rica Luis Liberman. The prize distinguishes Dole and Standard Fruit's outstanding records of providing state-of-the-art Health and Safety programs for employees, preventing workplace discrimination, ensuring equal opportunities and promoting diversity. In particular, the Vice President noted Dole and Standard Fruit's efforts to improve the standard of living for employees and their families.
