FRESNO, Calif. — Two consecutive months of freezing temperatures have taken their toll on California's citrus crop.
The citrus growers' association California Citrus Mutual says about 35 percent of the mandarin orange crop will be lost to frost damage following more than 25 nights of freezing temperatures in December and several frosts in January.
Though the news is better for the navel crop, about 15 percent still won't make it.
