Global Organic Specialty Source named Jeff Patterson Director of Sales and Business Development. The Company supports over 140 farms in the US and abroad and is the largest locally-owned supplier of Organic Produce in the southeastern region. The company is a wholesale distributor of certified organic produce, serving large supermarkets, retail stores, restaurants, resorts, and buying clubs/co-ops. The company operates a new, 85,000 square foot facility in Sarasota, FL. Jeff was placed by Samuel J. Associates; an executive search firm that specializes in the retail food industry.
Prior to joining Global Organic Specialty Source, Jeff was the Sales Manager of L&M Cos. Inc in McAllen, TX where he was responsible for sales and operations for four distribution centers.
Mr. Patterson’s career spans over 30 years in the industry working on both the wholesale and retail side of the business in various merchandising and procurement roles. During that time he has served on the retail board and the board of directors for the Produce Marketing Association.
