Industry Mourns The Loss Of Caldwell Enterprises Founder James Caldwell

Passed away peacefully at age 73, on June 8, 2015. James was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Survived by his loving wife, Donna Jean of 52 years, Sons, John (wife Wendy), Bill (wife Anje), four grandchildren (Charlotte, Emma, Sutton and Ella), and two sisters, Mary and Ginger.

Born in Houston, Texas, James came with his family to Peoria, AZ in 1954 and remained here until his passing. James was an avid soccer fan and fly fisherman. After receiving a heart transplant in 1990, James passion turned towards mentoring new transplant recipients.

A produce industry veteran of 35 years in Phoenix, AZ, James worked for United Produce, Harbor Banana, Associated Grocers and Amex Distributing. In 1980 he opened his own produce brokerage company Caldwell Enterprises with his son John and enjoyed the success until he retired in 2005.

Our lives have been immensely enriched by knowing James. He will be greatly missed by all those lives he touched along his journey. We will miss him greatly. A memorial service will be held at Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary, 8555 East Pinnacle Peak Road, on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 3 pm, reception to follow on site.

The family request that in lieu of flowers that Donations in the name of James Caldwell can be made to Hospice of the Valley or The Donor Network of Arizona.
