Philadelphia, PA – John Vena, Inc. is proud to celebrate some significant milestones in the work lives of several members of our staff. Three of our team members, Kathleen Conway (Controller), Sterling Williams (Senior Selector), and Tom Allen (Senior Trader) will all celebrate 30 years of service to the Company this year! Ms. Conway began her career as a billing clerk and over the years, her skills and willingness to take on responsibility have elevated her to a highly trusted position. Mr. Williams first position in the Philadelphia Market was unloading trailers and picking up for customers six days a week. He joined our staff as a selector and has become a key man in our logistics department. Mr. Allen started his produce career in the fruit orchards of South Jersey. Tom joined our firm in search of steady work and now finds himself among the top fresh produce traders in the region. In addition, we have two team members celebrating 20 year anniversaries in 2013. Both Dan Capone and Sal Dolce began their careers here in entry level jobs and have become an integral part of our Trading Team, on call for customers and suppliers around the clock.
Our company philosophy Partners in Quality, was really fashioned by the dedication and work ethic of valuable team members like these. We believe that our unique position in the supply chain dictates that we conduct ourselves and our business as though we were partners with both our suppliers, our customers and the many service providers that support us every day.
We also want to celebrate the addition of new business that has opened up opportunities to join our team.
