OTC USA To Receive Organic Ruby Red Grapefruit

OTC USA inc will be one of the first companies in the USA to receive Organic Ruby red grapefruits out of South Africa. The USDA ruled that certain South African districts are able to export grapefruit out of pest free areas. The grapefruits are cultivated on Orex two farms in Zwartbooisberg and Krantzberg, witch are situated on the lower Orange River valley, South Africa. Orex export was founded in 1997 by the Spangenberg and Nel family. Together with Orex Exports, OTC is building towards a better efficiency and distribution chain in Northern America. Also food safety and Organic integrity are becoming more and more important. In order to maintain Organic integrity OTC does residue analysis on all there imported products to make sure the Organic chain is never broken. OTC USA is expected to bring in the first crop of Organic Star Ruby Grapefruits the beginning of June into the Eastcoast. Volumes will be limited to see how the market will respond to this great Grapefruit. Also limited volume will be shipped to Canada in order to fulfill retail needs.

In Europe where rules are less stringent in terms of cold treatment the first arrivals have been welcomed with good color and excellent taste.
