Hockessin, Del.- Produce for Better Health Foundation (PBH) is pleased to welcome the 32 companies who became PBH donors in 2010.
"We are very pleased to add these companies to the ranks of PBH contributors," said Elizabeth Pivonka, Ph.D., R.D., president and CEO of PBH. "We are happy to receive their support for our mission of increasing fruit and vegetable consumption."
PBH is continually striving to offer quality benefits to donors, including innovative ways to connect with consumers via the message of increasing fruit and vegetable consumption for their better health.
In addition, several organizations that were already donors increased their PBH donation level in 2010. This list includes; Growers Express, LLC who increased their donation to $15,000, Ahold USA (Including Giant Food Stores, L.L.C., Giant of Maryland, L.L.C. & Stop & Shop Companies, Inc.) who bumped up their contribution to $20,000, Dole Food Company, Inc. who upgraded to a $25,000 contribution level, The Walt Disney Company who raised their contribution to $35,000, and Bayer CropScience who increased their contribution to $50,000. Produce Marketing Association increased their support to the $50,000 level with a $250,000 pledge over the next 5 years. Seneca Foods Corporation and Taylor Farms joined them in increasing their support to $50,000 with a $250,000 pledge over the next 5 years.
"We are all very happy for the new support and, on behalf of the PBH Board of Trustees, I want to take this opportunity to thank all PBH donors, both new and long term. Their generosity is greatly appreciated," said Pivonka.
