Pennsylvania Apple Marketing Program Highlights Farm Markets With Statewide Media Campaign

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Apple Marketing Program is once again encouraging consumers to visit local farm markets through a marketing campaign that includes outdoor, online and radio components. The advertising message encourages consumers to “Find Fresh” and reminds them that they can find a local farm market by logging onto the website, pennsylvaniaapples.org.

Both the website’s and the mobile site’s farm market search component allows consumers to search by geography, variety, and whether or not a market offers “pick your own” or has a cider press onsite. Consumers can also click on a selected market’s profile page to access market hours, directions and a link to the market’s website.

In addition to the advertising element, a public relations consumer media campaign will take place starting in September through November that highlights everything Pennsylvania farm markets have to offer.

New this year is a series of 10 POS cards that were provided to each member market. Each card addresses a specific apple-related topic and has a QR code that links to a short online video.
