Traver, CA – Albertsons Southern California Division created magical in-store displays to highlight the robust selection of Disney-branded California grown fruits. Each store created a custom display for the Disney-branded fruit and competed amongst one another to win an assortment of prizes.
Customers entering Albertsons produce departments this summer were welcomed with displays featuring enchanted castles and fruitful farms. Participating Albertsons stores were filled with balloons, face painting, stickers and tattoos, and Disney fun for all ages. Not only did customers enjoy the fun and excitement, but Albertsons employees did too.
Lemon Grove, the winning store, created an enchanting Disney Cinderella castle display and invited parents and kids to go on a treasure hunt in the produce area. Along the way they encountered a variety of Disney activity stations featuring crafts, coloring tables, and cookie decorating. The treasure hunt ended at the castle’s throne where guests were treated to a family photo.
“Nothing compares to seeing guests light up when they see Disney come to life in our produce department," said Sheryl Salazar, assistant produce sales manager for Albertsons. "The displays were also an excellent sales driver for produce. We were inspired by our employees’ creativity, and truly appreciate SGS's commitment to our event.”
