UK: Commercial Management Changes At Mack

This autumn brings a number of changes and fresh faces for Mack. Our business has developed significantly in some key product areas, and the forthcoming departure of Janina Dowding inevitably brings a change to our senior leadership.

Mack Managing Director, Nigel Trood, has confirmed that Paul Frowde will be rejoining the business on 13th January 2014. Whilst he began his career with Mack back in 1997, Paul has spent the last five years at Thanet Earth Marketing Ltd. He returns to Mack with a promotion to the position of Business Unit Director, taking responsibility for stone fruit and grapes.

Confirming the appointment, Nigel Trood said: “Paul is a popular, well-respected character in the industry, with considerable experience and a successful track record. He’ll be a great asset to our business, and I’m very pleased indeed to welcome him back.” Janina Dowding will stay with the business until further notice to ensure a smooth transition of leadership.

There are other significant new appointments for the team at Mack, supporting new business and ambitious plans for further growth.

Further Commercial Appointments

  • Shane Newman joins shortly from IPL to specialise in grape procurement.
  • Kenny Moran returns from Berry Gardens to become a berry buyer from December.
  • Rowena Ganguli joins us from Innocent Drinks to become an account manager early in 2014, and recruitment continues in account management as we look to bring further experience into our teams.

These positive developments are designed to bring more fresh talent to Mack, helping maintain the calibre of specialists that customers and our growers expect. We offer a very warm welcome to all our new starters and wish them every success in their careers.

Notes: Overall commercial control of Thanet Earth Marketing Ltd is to be taken by Richard Diplock who assumes the role of its Senior Commercial Manager from 1st January 2014.
