Urban Produce Breaks Into The Retail Market With Organic Living Microgreens & Wheatgrass

Urban Produce has busted into the retail market with a bang showcasing their Organic Wheatgrass in Southern California Albertsons and their Organic LIVE Microgreens in Gelson’s and Fresh & Easy.

The Organic Wheatgrass has been flying off the shelves in Albertsons as it offers a vast array of health benefits. One study even showed it might even turn those grey hairs back to the luscious locks you had in your 20's.

Traditionally used in fine dining restaurants, microgreens are tiny vegetable greens that enhance the flavor, texture, and color of almost any dish.

The Urban Produce Organic Living Microgreens hit shelves with three different blends: Kale-ifornia™, Hot Mama’ & Broccoli. Each blend has a unique flavor profile to satisfy any palate.  While the Organic Broccoli Microgreen can speak for itself, the Kale-ifornia™ and Hot Mama’ blends are quite unique.

The Kale-ifornia™ microgreen blend is a combination of nutritionally dense superfoods, kale being one of them.
This blend is perfect to add to smoothies, salads, or sandwiches.

The Hot Mama’ blend is a brilliant combination of 4 radish varieties that is sure to light your mouth on fire!
This blend goes great on tacos, burgers, even in salsa. But no matter what blend of microgreens you chose they are all packed with four to six times more vitamin C, E, K and Beta-Carotene than fully grown vegetables. And because Urban Produce packages their microgreens live, with their roots intact, they maintain their full body taste along with all their natural enzymes, vitamins, and minerals through transport up until they are ready to be cut and eaten. This ensures freshness and increased shelf life. The Urban Produce Organic Live Microgreens, delivered in a closed clamshell, will have an approximate 21-day shelf life.

Urban Produce’s microgreens are not only nutrient dense and delicious—they’re sustainable. The live microgreens are grown in their patented Urban Produce High Density Vertical Growing System. The system reduces water usage, increases efficiency, and saves costs by applying new technology to traditional hydroponic growing.
