FRANKLIN PARK, Ill. — Chicago-based Alliance Paper & Food Service has changed its name to Alliance Paper & Foodservice Equipment (Alliance) effective immediately, announced President and CEO Brian Flynn.
“To say we are excited about the future would be an understatement. The name change is significant and more accurately describes the company and its direction,” said Flynn.
The change follows Alliance’s 2012 acquisition of Lombard, IL-based Schweppe, Inc., a foodservice industry equipment supplier. The integration created economies of scale in warehousing, delivery, purchasing and administrative processes, and allowed Alliance, which was known for its foodservice disposables, to bolster its offering to include equipment while expanding its geographic reach.
“The new name better reflects our company today and our position in the market,” added Flynn.
Alliance maintains more than 10,000 items specializing in foodservice disposables, equipment and supplies as well as janitorial and chemical supplies.
