Amazon Prime Members Are Adopting Whole Foods Benefits Faster Than Previous Perks

As Amazon.com Inc. continues to bring Whole Foods Market into the Prime system, executives say members are integrating the grocery chain’s benefits into their personal habits faster than other perks that come with the exclusive membership.

“Prime members have adopted this benefit, it’s one of the fastest rates we’ve ever seen for a Prime benefit,” Amazon AMZN, +0.55%  CFO Brian Olsavsky said on the late-Wednesday earnings call, according to a FactSet transcript. “We think it’s a big milestone this quarter to launch Prime benefits with Whole Foods, and we’ll keep going, we’ll see how that develops.”

Olsavsky also detailed the ways in which Whole Foods blends the traditional grocery experience with the e-commerce experience.
