Change Request Process – Foodservice GS1 US Standards Initiative

We are happy to announce a process to aid in adoption of the Foodservice GS1 US Standards Initiative. This process is known as the Change Request Process and enables all members of the foodservice industry to communicate new requirements and lessons learned while implementing GS1 standards.

The Foodservice GS1 US Standards Initiative is progressing and more and more companies are working towards the voluntary adoption and implementation of the GS1 Standards. Questions and issues with implementations are surfacing. In order to address GS1 standards implementation questions and issues that arise, a change request form and process for addressing these issues has been developed.

The goal is to quickly address new business requirements or anything that may prevent or hinder the achievement of the Foodservice Initiative roadmap milestones.

The Change Request form can be completed by any foodservice trading partner. Please provide as much detail as possible when submitting your request to help expedite the process.

If you would like to submit a Change Request, please complete the form and send it to: foodservice@GS1US.org. The Foodservice Initiative Advisory Panel will review your change request and will send you a response within fourteen (14) business days. All requests submitted will be captured in the Change Request Log (link below) for historical reference and status of completion.
