House of Raeford Farms has agreed to buy Filet of Chicken – a Georgia-based ‘further processing’ company – from Flagship Food Group LLC.
The acquisition will not affect the number of House of Raeford jobs in North Carolina, said David Witter, manager of corporate sustainability and communications for House of Raeford.
House of Raeford, headquartered in Rose Hill, is a family-owned chicken and turkey processing company and one of the top 10 largest chicken processors in the country. It has facilities in Georgia, Louisiana and South Carolina.
