Publix Bringing 'Hybrid' Concept To Brevard County, Florida

For Adrienne Chandler and some of her friends, a visit to Whole Foods Market in Orlando is always a special experience.

Beyond the unique cheeses and fresh organic foods they find there, the offerings that go beyond what’s on the shelves — a sit-down cafe, a variety of tasting stations, aromatic spices — make the two-hour round trip worth it.

“They have a lot of good things, and the store is laid out real nicely,” said the 44-year-old Chandler, a commercial decorator who lives in Suntree. “I really like going there.”

Come next spring, those visits may become less frequent — and Chandler’s dollars may stay in town.
