Every member of the Schnuck family knows that their monthly meetings dubbed the “6S” are sacred.
The six Schnuck siblings five brothers and one sister who are equal shareholders in the grocery chain business schedule their vacations around the meetings, where they plot business strategy.
“It’s the meeting you don’t miss,” said Todd Schnuck, president and chief operating officer of Schnuck Markets.
It’s been that way since the late 1980s, when their father, the legendary grocery magnate the late Don Schnuck, called the first meeting to order. The following generation has carried on the tradition with a nearly perfect attendance record ever since.
