Stop & Shop Triple Winner Game Celebrates 22nd Anniversary

BOSTON- Calling all Stop & Shop customers: Beginning April 13 through July 12, shoppers will have the opportunity to help support pediatric brain tumor care and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through Stop & Shop's annual Triple Winner Game®. Customers who give a $1 contribution* to the Jimmy Fund receive a Triple Winner scratch ticket and receive free store products, coupons, gift cards, or cash prizes up to $10,000.

Stop & Shop, in partnership with the Boston Red Sox, has raised more than $50 million through the Triple Winner Game. The Triple Winner Game, started in 1991, supports the fight against pediatric cancer, including the Stop & Shop Family Pediatric Brain Tumor Clinic at Dana-Farber, the most comprehensive research and care center for pediatric brain tumor patients in the United States. This program also provides children with in-depth intellectual and emotional support to help them adapt to their lives post-treatment.

"Everyone wins with Triple Winner," said Mark McGowan, president, Stop & Shop New England Division. "Our customers receive a reward in return for their support; Dana-Farber can continue their critical work to cure cancer and improve lives; and most importantly, our Triple Winner kids can not only beat their cancer, but go to high school, college, embark on a career . . . have the fulfilling life they deserve."

"After more than twenty years the funds raised from the Stop & Shop Triple Winner Game continues to drive pediatric brain tumor research, helping us work toward less invasive treatments and improving the quality of life of our patients. Words cannot express our appreciation to Stop & Shop associates and shoppers," said Mark Kieran, MD, PhD, director of the pediatric medical neuro-oncology program at Dana-Farber.

"The Red Sox are proud to support a program that helps fund pediatric brain tumor care and research," Red Sox Executive Vice President and COO Sam Kennedy, "This annual Stop & Shop program helps raise millions of dollars for the treatment of these terrible diseases through advanced technologies and unique therapies. We are thankful for partners like Stop & Shop who help raise the much needed funds that help support the research and the critical care these young children need."
