Transformational changes are happening at Winn-Dixie grocery stores across the South that could make its way into Birmingham stores in the next year.
The Florida-based company has transformed three stores in Louisiana, Florida and Mobile that focus on fresh and local products in a transformed interior, which includes a farmer’s market-type entrance, hardwood floors in the produce section and exposed ceilings throughout.
Winn-Dixie is slated to transform 17 more stores to the new format in its footprint in its next fiscal year.
