Maine Gov. LePage Makes Lobster Official State Crustacean

BREWER, Maine – It's officially the law, Maine's state crustacean is the lobster.

Governor LePage signed a bill making that happen on the road in Brewer, Monday morning.

He stopped by the Brewer Community School to sign the proposal into law in front of dozens of third graders who went all the way to Augusta last month to get it passed.

They had been learning about lobsters as part of their curriculum when they found out Maine didn't have an official crustacean like other states.
