Publix is committed to the responsible use of environmental resources. Our mission even reminds us to be responsible citizens who are intolerant of waste. Each year there’s a special day to celebrate our planet with customers and associates — Earth Day.
On April 22, communities around the world will show their appreciation and willingness to preserve our planet and natural environment. Publix will participate in a variety of earth-friendly activities April 11 – 24.
In honor of Earth Day, Publix plans to make a donation to the Sustainable Fisheries Partnership (SFP). Customers can help support sustainability efforts in the seafood industry through the purchase of wild gulf shrimp. For every pound of wild shrimp sold between April 11 – 24, Publix will donate $1, up to $40,000 to SFP.
