JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Beaver Street Fisheries announced today that Sea Best, the brand of high-quality seafood the company has provided to grocery stores and restaurants coast to coast for 30 years, will expand further into the value-added market with their new fully prepared, ready-to-cook Signature line.
This is a continuation of the product innovation recently released with the Seasoned Selections line of products. The Seasoned Selections brand features two-serving portions of pre-seasoned fish or shellfish packaged in a microwavable and oven-safe container.
The new Signature line features complete seafood dishes topped or stuffed with a variety of exciting flavor profiles. Offerings within the line can be served as meals or appetizers. The line includes a total of seven new products, each one is an original recipe created by Sea Best chefs based on consumer input and research. Consumers can now enjoy their favorite seafood dishes at home. Fully prepared and ready to put in the oven or microwave, Signature dishes are ready in minutes.
These new products expand the product breadth of the Sea Best brand and give consumers a convenient, affordable means to prepare restaurant-quality seafood at home.
- Tilapia Florentine– Tilapia fillets stuffed with spinach and flavorful blend of cream, mozzarella cheese, red peppers and herbs.
- Spinach & Artichoke Filefish –Light-textured fillets stuffed with creamy spinach, artichoke heart, Parmesan cheese and select herbs.
- Potato Crusted Cod –Light, flaky Cod fillets seasoned with salt, pepper and garlic powder, topped with cheddar cheese and chive seasoned hash browns.
- Caribbean Mango Swai– Sweet chili-glazed Swai fillets crusted with mango, onion and coconut.
- Stuffed Clams – Large chunks of whole juicy clams, blended with herbs and stuffing, nestled in a natural clam shell.
- Shrimp & Grits – Cooked Shrimp combined with rich buttermilk grits, roasted red peppers, onions, Parmesan and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Maine Lobster Cakes – Succulent lobster meat, lightly dressed with lemon herb mayonnaise, Dijon mustard and panko bread crumbs.
The introduction of these new Sea Best products is an effort to expand the seafood customer base and increase the frequency of use of seafood. The products were chosen based on overall category trends and consumer research.
