All of the new products aim to help Sea Best customers in the effort to attract more shoppers with a wider variety of seafood choices in tune with current shopper trends. They also fulfill the consumer demand for more restaurant-quality products that can be easily prepared at home.
A total of nine new products will be introduced. Included in the line expansion are three products under new Sea Best sub-brand Seasoned Selections, which features two-serving portions of pre-seasoned fish or shellfish packaged in a microwavable/oven-safe container. The sub-brand takes Sea Best’s mission to the next level, maximizing convenience and providing shoppers with fail-safe, no-prep, heat-and-eat alternatives for serving restaurant-style seafood dishes at home.
Seasoned Selections varieties include:
- Lemon & Pink Peppercorn Tilapia – a popular mild white fish starts with a peppery kick and is rounded out with the fresh, light flavor of lemon
- Thai Chili Salmon – the hearty texture of salmon pairs with the full-bodied flavor of sweet and hot peppers, garlic and citrus
- Tuscan Mahi – sweet slow roasted peppers and tangy tomatoes blend with sherry, garlic and shallots for a rich Italian flavor on a sweet, hearty fish
Additional new items include a mix of pre-seasoned, breaded and restaurant-variety shellfish.
- Shrimp Scampi – Sea Best shrimp in a garlic butter glaze
- Tuscan-Style Shrimp –Sea Best shrimp rolled in a mozzarella and garlic Italian-style breading
- Breaded Torpedo Shrimp – Sea Best shrimp elongated and breaded for unique presentation and easier dipping
- Coconut Torpedo Shrimp – Sea Best shrimp elongated and rolled in coconut breading for unique presentation and easier dipping
- Hard Shell Clams – Certified sustainable, vacuum-packed, wild whole shell clams
- King Crab – Southern King Crab Legs and Claws
All new products further the concept that Sea Best offers consumers restaurant-quality seafood with the convenience and savings of making it at home.
The intent is to give customers the easiest ways to prepare seafood so they feel more confident serving it, and do so more frequently.
