The NFI Salmon Council Announces New Member

McLean, VA – The NFI Salmon Council welcomes Multiexport Foods as a member. The Chilean farmer and exporter supplies fresh, frozen and smoked Atlantic Salmon to customers around the world.

For more than 30 years, Multiexport Foods has found and created markets for Chilean food products. Their salmon farms and processing facilities rank as foremost in the industry, contributing sizably to global Atlantic Salmon production.

“Multiexport has signed onto the Salmon Council to communicate directly with American consumers,” said USA General Manager Jason Paine. “Salmon’s health benefits and easy, delicious preparations make it an exceptional mealtime choice. Multiexport is looking forward to working with the council to craft and broadcast salmon’s positive messages.”

The Salmon Council welcomes Multiexport Foods during a new membership campaign joining Agrosuper and Trapananda Seafarms as new council members.

Salmon Council Chairman Gianfranco Nattero considers participation from international companies like Multiexport Foods key to the council’s success.

“The Salmon Council is a joint-marketing effort inclusive of all salmon varieties and producing regions,” said Nattero. “Having Multiexport as a member of the Salmon Council broadens our Chilean representation and strengthens the council’s worldwide voice.”

The Salmon Council was established in January 2013 for the promotion of salmon in the U.S. market. The Salmon Council’s sixteen-company membership represents wild-caught, farmed, domestic and imported products.
