Dairy Checkoff Partners With Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, Pennsylvania Dairy Farm to Build Consumer Trust in Dairy Sustainability

As part the dairy industry’s commitment to sustainable production and building consumer trust in dairy, American Dairy Association North East, Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion Program and Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay partnered with Kurtland Farms, Elverson, Pa., to plant 326 trees on more than one acre.

Two Scholarships Available for Dairy Promoters From American Dairy Association North East Region  

American Dairy Association North East is offering two scholarships for college students who have completed one year of post-secondary education and are interested in agriculture, dairy product marketing, dairy manufacturing, agricultural communications, journalism or dairy product nutrition. Applications are due by December 31.

61st Maryland State Dairy Princess, Alternate Selected to Promote Throughout the State

Upper Chesapeake Dairy Princess Katie Jones of Harford County was named the 61st Maryland State Dairy Princess, and South Central Dairy Princess Layla Shepard of Montgomery County was chosen as Alternate Maryland Dairy Princess on Friday, September 1, at the Maryland State Fair in Timonium, Md. Together, they will represent Maryland’s nearly 340 dairy farmers and engage consumers at the grassroots level with positive dairy messages.
