Just three months after launch, food tech startup Better Brand announces the close of an additional $2.5 million funding round, led by Alexis Ohanian’s Seven Seven Six. The company broke records earlier this year when its founder, Aimee Yang, became the first sole female founder to raise over $1M in a venture-led pre-seed round across food tech, consumer, and food & beverage industries (via Crunchbase).

Boichik Bagels Secures Warehouse to Expand in Bay Area

In less than two years since its opening in 2019, Boichik Bagels is expanding in the Bay Area. Founder Emily Winston is set to open a new location at a large industrial warehouse in North Berkeley to sell and mass produce her bagels, which were deemed the best New York-style bagels by The New York Times in March.
