A new round of Dairy Business Builder grants is coming in September 2022 for small- to medium-sized dairy farmers, manufacturers, and processors in 11 Upper Midwestern states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Kansas, and Wisconsin.

Dairy product manufacturers in five Midwestern states can prepare now to apply for a new, $1 million round of grants to be administered by the Dairy Business Innovation Alliance (DBIA), a partnership between the Center for Dairy Research (CDR) and the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA).

DBIA Awards $1.7M to 38 Dairy Businesses

The Dairy Business Innovation Alliance (DBIA), a partnership between the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA) and the Center for Dairy Research (CDR) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, today announced the 38 companies and cooperatives that have been selected to receive Dairy Business Builder grants totaling $1.7 million.

WCMA Applauds Historic USDA Investment of $80M in Dairy Business Innovation Initiatives

The Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association cheered U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack’s direction of $80 million in American Rescue Plan funds to Dairy Business Innovation Initiatives (DBII) first championed by U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-Wisconsin) in the 2018 Farm Bill.
