SHAFFE Launches International Master’s Degree for Fresh Produce Industry Professionals

To address the need to update knowledge and acquire better tools for strategy planning and decision making, the Southern Hemisphere Association of Fresh Fruit Exporters (SHAFFE) has designed the master’s degree in International Communication, Marketing and Management for industry professionals involved in global trade.

SHAFFE Continues to Grow – Provid Peru Joins as a New Partner of the Entity

Fulfilling its objectives of expanding its membership and consolidating its position as the representative of fresh fruit exports from the Southern Hemisphere, today SHAFFE announced the incorporation of a new organization, Provid Peru. “We are very happy to be adding more and more representative bodies as well as countries to our association. We recently added Zimbabwe and now we are welcoming Provid, the Peruvian Table Grape Producers Association. This shows that the work we have done to date is important and reflects the needs of the Southern Hemisphere,” said Nelli Hajdu, Secretary General of SHAFFE.

Global Coalition of Fresh Produce Industries Calls for Declaring F&V a Strategic Good in Current Supply Chain and Cost Crisis

The global fresh produce industries unite in a call to national and regional public authorities and multilateral bodies, such as WTO, FAO, UNCTAD, OECD and others, to respond with urgency to the current significant hikes of costs for logistics, inputs such as fertilizers, packaging materials and energy, and an overall shortage of labour which is jeopardizing the economic viability of the fresh produce industry globally. 

Zimbabwe joins SHAFFE

“We are very happy to announce the addition of Zimbabwe to SHAFFE, represented through the Zimbabwe Horticultural Development Council,” said Nelli Hajdu, Secretary General of SHAFFE. The incorporation, detailed the professional, took place during Fruit Logistica, an event that had its first face-to-face version, after the Covid pandemic, from April 5 to 7th.
