USDA Invests $50M for Schools & Food Industry to Work Together to Strengthen School Meals

USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service launched a new and innovative initiative for healthier school meals through a $50 million grant opportunity that will support collaboration with the food industry to develop nutritious, appetizing school meals for students. This launch follows through on a commitment made in the administration’s National Strategy on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health.

USDA Appoints Members to Fruit and Vegetable Industry Advisory Committee

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) today announced the appointment of 25 industry representatives to serve on the Fruit and Vegetable Industry Advisory Committee (FVIAC). The reappointed and newly appointed members will serve two-year terms beginning immediately and ending in October 2024.

USDA Announces Appointments to the Hass Avocado Board

The U.S. Department of Agriculture today announced the appointment of seven members to the Hass Avocado Board. Appointed are two producer members, two producer alternates, one importer member and one importer alternate to fill three-year terms expiring on October 31, 2025, and one vacant importer alternate seat to fill the remainder of the term which expires on October 31, 2024.

USDA Proposes Additional Requirements for Imported Chilean Table Grapes
