Both brands joined the Global Ghost Gear Initiative as members in 2023.

Thai Union Volunteers Removed Over 11 Tons of Ocean-Bound Trash for World Oceans Day

The Thai Union teams collected a total of 11,036 kilograms of trash from nine clean-up sites including mangroves, rivers, beaches, and cities in Thailand, two sites in the U.S., Ghana, the UK, Norway, the Netherlands, France, and Italy. Among the most common items collected were plastic bags, plastic bottles, foam, old fishing gear, and over 10,000 cigarette butts.

Relais & Châteaux Launches an #SOSforBiodiversity to Save Ocean Species

For the ninth consecutive year, Relais & Châteaux will celebrate World Oceans Day on June 8th with the collective appeal #SOSforBiodiversity. The not-for-profit Association has invited chefs to adapt their menus by removing overexploited species, such as eel, and selecting sustainable seafood. To raise awareness of this issue, Relais & Châteaux is highlighting the efforts of four chefs who embody this initiative.

Pacific Seafood Celebrates World Oceans Day

Pacific Seafood Team members celebrated World Oceans Day with companywide actions to prevent debris from reaching our oceans. More than 100 team members volunteered their time to pick up debris from nearby beaches, water ways, and surrounding streets. In total, team members prevented more than 500 pounds of trash from entering the oceans.
