ABA Unveils Cookie & Cracker Academy To Continue Meeting Needs Of Diverse Industry

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Previously known as B&CMA University, the Cookie & Cracker Academy (CCA) was formed as a result of the merger of the American Bakers Association (ABA) and the Biscuit and Cracker Manufacturers’ Association (B&CMA). CCA serves the education and training needs of cookie and cracker manufacturing professionals of all levels, from employees new to a bakery environment to individuals seeking an advanced understanding of the complete manufacturing process and the science behind it.

“CCA represents the comprehensive curricula template that cookie and cracker professionals have been using to train for decades,” said Senior Advisor to the President & CEO: B&CMA Transition & Development Dave Van Laar. “The training will remain the strong program we have always offered but with even more resources to provide the highest standard of education to the industry.”

“The merger has given us an exciting opportunity to continue to enhance and develop an already impressive educational program that serves the needs of the membership,” said ABA President & CEO Robb MacKie. “With the larger, unified membership taking part in CCA, it will no doubt remain the top technical expertise training in cookie and cracker manufacturing, and we are thrilled to have this renowned program join ABA’s other educational offerings of world-class front line leadership training and executive leadership development.”

The Cookie & Cracker Academy provides beginner, mid-level, advanced and customized training options that offer the complete educational pathway for the cookie and cracker professional.
