Eli's Cheesecake was created by restaurateur Eli Schulman as the signature dessert for his Chicago steakhouse, Eli's the Place for Steak, a Chicago landmark for 39 years.  Since its public debut in 1980 at the first Taste of Chicago, Eli's has become one of the country's largest specialty bakeries.  "O", The Oprah Magazine calls Eli's Cheesecake "perfection on a plate."   The Chicago Tribune named it "a Chicago food icon" and it has been featured on The Food Network, Good Morning America, all national news shows, and countless publications.

The Eli's Cheesecake Company is a family owned business dedicated to baking the highest quality, all-natural cheesecakes and desserts, while supporting community, local farmers and small businesses.  We still take our time to slow bake our cheesecakes in small batches, cook our sugar to achieve the optimum flavor and color, allow our ingredients such as slow cultured cream cheese and sour cream to develop to the perfect  taste and texture, and hand bake and hand decorate all our desserts.
