Kuchen lovers across at least five states may have to find their fix from a different supplier since Lapp’s Bakery of Hebron closed Thursday.
Myron and Betty Lapp have run the business for about 14 years and shut down sooner than expected due to expenses, they said.
“I’d sold the building on Dec. 1 and the rent and the charges that it cost me to stay, we couldn’t afford it,” Myron Lapp said.
The Lapps had planned to sell the business and retire, but may just be retiring.
