IDDBA's Scholarship For Growing The Future Tops $100,000 In Awards For Student Employees

Madison, WI — The International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association’s Scholarship for Growing the Future broke records this August with its contribution of $103,000 toward the education of 91 employees at about 30 of its member companies. A significant benefit for members of IDDBA, the program aims to invest in students who work in the dairy, deli, and bakery industries, as well as in the grocery retail industry while pursuing a college degree.

“This scholarship is a great resource for students juggling academics and jobs while trying to tackle increasing tuition bills,” said program coordinator Jonathan Whalley, Education Coordinator, IDDBA.  “For our members, this is a great incentive to help retain quality team members throughout the school year and perhaps setting them on a rewarding career path after college.”

Scholarships up to $2,000 are available two times per year. The next application deadline is January 15, 2017. For program information, or to apply, visit iddba.org/scholarships.
