Kroger Donates Bread To Detroit Metro Area Salvation Army

Kroger announced that it will contribute one loaf of 24 oz. Kroger White
Buttercrust Bread to The Salvation Army Bed & Bread Club program for every loaf
that customers purchase through Feb. 28 at Detroit Metro-area stores.

The grocery chain is teaming up with radio station 104.3 WOMC and the Dick
Purtan Radiothon to benefit The Salvation Army program.

A loaf of bread can go a long way in feeding the hungry by providing a basic
food essential, said Rick Going, president of Kroger’s Michigan Division.

Kroger is committed to addressing the hunger issue in the communities we
serve, he said.
