Maison Cousin Launches A Revamped Brand, Website & New European-Style Breads

MONTREAL – Maison Cousin, the 97-year-young brand best known for its beloved baguette, launches today a new look, website and rich assortment of European-style breads freshly selected for the Quebec market and local grocery stores. The concerted launch is part of the brand's plans to remain a staple of the Quebec grocery basket and cart for the next 100 years – a feat it intends to accomplish one meal, one delicious flavour at a time.

"We're honoured by the relationships we've nurtured in the province over the years," says Eric Goyette, representative for Maison Cousin. "We are focused on the future and recent innovations are a good indication of the commitment we have to growing our brand in Quebec."

The collection of new breads, including Brioche, Calabrese, Pretzel and Portuguese rolls, are crafted in true Maison Cousin tradition, with no preservatives, artificial colours or flavours.  Products such as the multigrain Filone and Petite Filone are also certified by North America's most trusted seal for GMO avoidance, the Non-GMO Project Verified seal.

"Food lovers of all ages appreciate the quality and variety of Maison Cousin breads and have allowed us into their homes and onto their kitchen tables for generations," says Eric Goyette. "We take that seriously and wanted to grow our offering so that we can break even more bread together, in diverse new styles of cuisines, cultures and occasions."

The new website is simple, user friendly and practical, featuring a variety of recipes and descriptions of the bread offerings – new and classic.
