Oklahoma Pies From Field’s Pies And Pioneer Pies Are Holiday Favorites

PAULS VALLEY — For the Field family, making a couple of holiday pies won't cut it. They're churning out 12,000 per day, enough for lots of families to enjoy a slice after Christmas dinner.

Field's Pies in Pauls Valley will produce about 3 million pies this year.

“Pecan is the most popular by far. Ninety-eight percent of what we make here are pecan,” said company President Chris Field, whose grandmother Hazelle Field started baking the pies in 1925.

The company also makes pumpkin, German chocolate and lemon chess pies.
