The retail component of the midtown bakery Sugar and Spice Specialty Desserts is no more.
Owner Carissa Jones said she is revamping the concept to focus on her wholesale and catering business and is closing the retail component – at least for now.
"We have amazing customers," she said. "I couldn't imagine nicer customers – and they are still my customers."
Jones still is taking special orders for parties and other occasions. And she has weddings booked through 2013.
