Steve Dragoo, Solutions Consulting, Inc., Receives 2013 IDDBA President's Award

Orlando, FL — Steve Dragoo, President, Solutions Consulting, Inc., received the 2013 International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association’s President’s Award at the Awards Banquet, the closing event of Dairy-Deli-Bake 2013. Voni Woods, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the IDDBA and Senior Director of Deli, Giant Eagle, Inc., selected Dragoo for the honor which recognizes distinguished service or contribution to the industry and honors those who have led with vision and dedication.

In presenting the award on Tuesday, June 4, Woods said:

“The IDDBA President’s Award is given to an individual who has made an extraordinary commitment to serving a cause, an organization, an industry, or a country.

Steve Dragoo has worked in the food industry for over thirty years. His focus has always been on helping businesses improve their customers’ experience. Through his company, Solutions Consulting, Steve has developed a number of customer-focused training programs.

His hard work, his enthusiasm and his dedication to helping others are the reasons for his success. His important contributions to the industry have been invaluable to many companies, both large and small.

In recognition of his passion and enthusiasm for excellence, and on behalf of the International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association and our grateful industry, we are delighted to present the 2013 IDDBA President’s Award to Steve Dragoo.”

Steve Dragoo is founder and president of Solutions Consulting, Inc. During his 30-plus year career, Steve has worked for major retailers and for two of America’s largest food companies. With Solutions Consulting, he has acted as a trusted advisor and trainer for some of America’s most respected retail supermarket chains and food manufacturers, helping them tell their stories, formulate winning strategies, and continue to win during challenging economic times.

Steve regularly blogs on the business experience, is frequently interviewed by food-industry publications, and recently completed Your Best Store Now—an e-book offering 99 Ridiculously Easy Tips for Creating a Great Supermarket Experience.

Since early 2001, Steve’s focus has been to develop and refine a “Customer Experience-Specific” training model.  Using a myriad of resources and field testing, he has developed a flexible framework for customized Customer Experience Training that can be adapted and applied to virtually any industry—across a wide spectrum of business situations.

In recognition of his work integrating experience principles into his company’s portfolio of training offerings, Steve was the 2007 recipient of the Experience Management Achievement Award presented by Joe Pine and Jim Gilmore, co-authors of The Experience Economy.

Steve and his wife of 34 years, Nancy, live in historic Franklin, Tennessee, near their 3 children and 3 grandchildren.
