Young New Cake Artist Joins The Satin Ice Family

Satin Fine Foods is now collaborating with Vinny Buzzetta, 22 year-old Executive Pastry Chef and Owner of “The Cake Artist”, who quickly gained national fame with WE tv’s reality show Staten Island Cakes.

Vinny trained at the French Culinary Institute of NYC, where he graduated first in his class. He was the youngest person to ever complete the program, and has already established his shop, The Cake Artist, as one of Staten Island’s hottest up-and-coming bakeries, with a star-studded client list to match. The bakery specializes in wedding and event cakes, cup cakes, hand decorated cookies, chocolate and sugar sculptures.

“We are proud to partner with Vinny,” says Satin founder, Kevin O’Reilly. “He is an inspiration to young people everywhere who have a passion for art and creative expression. His accomplishments at such a young age are impressive and we encourage students with similar interests to follow all the opportunities that are available to help them succeed as well.”

Vinny won his first blue ribbon at the New York Restaurant and Hotel Show in 2009, and in 2010, he won “Best Bakery on Staten Island” at the Taste of Staten Island Competition. Just at the threshold of his career, Vinny is destined to become an even better cake artist with time. He is one to watch!
