Because of an unwavering safety commitment to their customers, PURE EIRE of Othello, WA is voluntarily recalling organic pasteurized non-homogenized skim, reduced fat 2%, whole and heavy cream milk products due to improper pasteurization on products expiring 5/15/13, 5/18/13 and 5/20/13. Legal pasteurization of the milk was not achieved because during processing the airspace above the milk failed to reach pasteurization temperatures. Proper pasteurization heats milk to effectively eliminate all illness-causing bacteria such as Listeria and Salmonella.
