Calypso Communications Signs LimeSprings Beef & LifeCycle Meats

Calypso Communications announced it has been selected to design branding and marketing solutions for LimeSprings Beef and LifeCycle Meats. LimeSprings Beef is an innovative beef processing plant slated for construction and operation in Lime Springs, Iowa. The plant will be distinguished by a unique tracking system that allows consumers to trace their meat back to the processing plant and family farm from which it originated. LimeSprings Beef President Jesse Stevens believes the system will respond to consumers' growing desire to "know their farmer" and "know their food."

AMSA Honors Two With Service Awards

The American Meat Science Association (AMSA) announces that Dr. William Henning, Professor of Animal science at Pennsylvania State University, is the recipient of the 2012 AMSA Intercollegiate Meat Judging Meritorious Service Award. AMSA also announces that Dr. Kerri Harris, Associate Professor in the Meat Science Section of the Animal Science Department of Texas A&M University and President/CEO of the International HACCP Alliance, is the recipient of the 2012 Distinguished Extension-Industry Service Award.
