Pioneer Specialty Foods Of Johnstown, CO Faces Multiple Lawsuits

A Johnstown, CO specialty foods company is a defendant in lawsuits concerning the purchase of cattle and bison meat and default of a $1 million loan. Pioneer Specialty Foods LLC, owned by Clair and Cathy Hull, is being sued by two ranchers in South Dakota; a Sidney, Neb., company involved in the sale and delivery of meats; and the First National Bank of Johnstown, which, according to information filed with the Weld County District Court, has not received any payments on a $1 million loan it gave Pioneer in January 2007.

The store is located at 2200 Plaza Parkway in Modesto. At this point the recall pertains only to the Modesto, California store.
