eat brighter! Survey Results Track Positive Impact On Sales, Movement To Extend Through 2018

One year after the launch of the eat brighter!™ movement, an initiative created to change the game of marketing in the fresh produce industry and inspire children and their families to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, Sesame Workshop, the Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA) and Produce Marketing Association (PMA) have agreed to extend the program through 2018. The extension is a result of the program’s success in the U.S. and Canada, including positive metrics and increased participation across the industry.

United Fresh Donates More Than 39,000 Lbs Of Produce

United Fresh donated 39,019 lbs. of produce and 207 lbs. of assorted dry food to the Greater Chicago Food Depository at the conclusion of the United Fresh 2015 annual convention and expo in Chicago last week. Volunteers helped collect donations from the convention floor to benefit those in need serviced by Greater Chicago Food Depository partner agencies such as food pantries, soup kitchens, and other emergency feeding centers.
