National Breast Cancer Foundation & Dannon ‘Give Hope With Every Cup’ For Breast Cancer Awareness And Research

FRISCO, Texas — In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.® (NBCF) announced today they are partnering with The Dannon Company to Give Hope With Every Cup™ to raise money for those affected by breast cancer.

For each under-the-lid code from specially marked packages of Dannon yogurt entered at www.cupsofhope.com before November 30, 2010, NBCF will receive a 10 cent donation from Dannon – up to $1.5 million, with a guaranteed $500,000 minimum donation, including retailer-specific programs. There is no need to mail-in lids, as Dannon shoppers can just peel off the lid of the product and enter the code, found underneath, at CupsOfHope.com.

According to Janelle Hail, founder of NBCF, "Our organization is committed to spreading knowledge and fostering hope in the fight against breast cancer. Dannon's donation will help us fund free mammograms for women who could otherwise not afford them, and drive home the importance of early detection."

Dannon's mission is to help people live a healthy lifestyle through food and through its support of organizations like NBCF. The Give Hope With Every Cup™ partnership spreads that mission to millions of people helping to rally a community around the cause of breast cancer awareness. In the spirit of community, visitors to CupsOfHope.com can view inspiring stories of hope from people whose lives have been affected by breast cancer. Facebook members can also click a link to "pass a cup" of Dannon on Facebook to help friends participate in the program.

The Foundation and Dannon are also honored to have support from actor, author, philanthropist and Activia spokesperson Jamie Lee Curtis: "As a long-time advocate of breast cancer charities, I am dedicated to Give Hope with Every Cup™ to help maintain the National Breast Cancer Foundation's research programs in leading facilities across the country."

Dannon Light & Fit's spokesperson, model and TV host, Heidi Klum will appear in the ad campaign to support Give Hope With Every Cup™.

Products will be available in stores beginning in September and throughout October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For more information, visit http://www.cupsofhope.com.
