New Leprino Foods Plant Could Make The Greeley Area Flow With Milk And Money

GREELEY — The biggest cheese in the business, Leprino Foods, is expanding its considerable Colorado footprint with a new mozzarella plant.

Often reluctant to say much publicly, the low-profile Denver-based company is raising its stature with plans for a $270 million factory in Greeley.

The plant and its 500 jobs are expected to produce a major economic uplift to northern Colorado — and help bring the state's struggling dairy industry back to health.
