Davenport, IA: Swiss Valley Farms has announced the sale of its Platteville, WI based cheese manufacturing facility to Tritent International Agriculture, Inc. The sale became effective September 18, 2012, and the details of the transaction are not being publicly disclosed.
Prior to the sale, the Platteville facility had been non-operational after Swiss Valley Farms transferred production of its Baby Swiss wheels, loaves and no-salt-added Swiss blocks from this former manufacturing site to White Hill Cheese Co., LLC, in Shullsburg, WI in October of 2011.
